Merry Christmas everyone, hope you’re all keeping safe. This Christmas we’d like to share with you how to narrate or tell the beloved Christmas classic story that is Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer, in Chinese. We’ll begin learning some of the key Chinese vocabulary in the short story, and then we’ll present the story in Chinese pinyin, Chinese characters and then the direct English translation. The Story

Shènɡdàn Jié jiùyào dào le, jīntiān wǒ yào ɡěi dàjiā jiǎnɡ yíɡè hé Shènɡdàn Jié yǒuɡuān de ɡùshi. Nǐmen zhīdào Shènɡdàn Lǎorén mɑ? Shènɡdàn Lǎorén tā yǒu shí èr zhī xùnlù. Qízhōnɡ, zuì yǒumínɡ de shì hónɡ bízi de xùnlù. Tā de mínɡzi jiào Lǔdàofū. Lǔdàofū chūshēnɡ de shíhou jiùshì hónɡ bízi, qítā xùnlù dōu cháoxiào tā “hāhāhā,  Lǔdàofū nǐ kàn, nǐ shì hónɡ bízi.” Lǔdàofū hěn nánɡuò, dànshì yǒu yì nián de Shènɡdàn Yè fēnɡxuě tèbié dà, suǒyǒu de xùnlù, tāmen dōu kàn bù qīnɡ qiánmiɑn de lù. Tāmen mílù le. Lǔdàofū yònɡ tā de hónɡ bízi zuòwéi xìnhào, bǎ suǒyǒu xùnlù jiào ɡuò lái jíhé, Shènɡdàn Lǎorén jiù shuō “ Lǔdàofū, nǐ yònɡ nǐ de hónɡ bízi dàilù bɑ! Qítā xùnlù quánbù ɡēnshànɡ.” Jiù zhèyànɡ, rànɡ Lǔdàofū dàilù ɡěi měi yí ɡè xiǎo pénɡyou sònɡ wán le lǐwù. Lǔdàofū zhěnɡjiù le nà yì nián de Shènɡdàn Jié. Yīncǐ, Lǔdàofū chénɡwéi le zuì shòu huānyínɡ de xùnlù. Tā de hónɡ bízi yě bèi dàjiā xǐhuɑn. Nǐ xǐhuɑn Lǔdàofū mɑ?

圣诞节就要到了，今天我要给大家讲一个和圣诞节有关的故事。你们知道圣诞老人吗？圣诞老人他有十二只驯鹿。其中，最有名的是红鼻子的驯鹿。它的名字叫鲁道夫。鲁道夫出生的时候就是红鼻子， 其他驯鹿都嘲笑它 “哈哈哈，鲁道夫，你看，你是红鼻子。” 鲁道夫很难过，但是有一年的圣诞夜风雪特别大所有的驯鹿，它们都看不清前面的路。它们迷路了。鲁道夫用它的红鼻子作为信号, 把所有驯鹿叫过来集合, 圣诞老人就说 “鲁道夫，你用你的红鼻子带路吧！其他驯鹿全部跟上。” 就这样，让鲁道夫带路给每一个小朋友送完了礼物。鲁道夫拯救了那一年的圣诞节。因此，鲁道夫成为了最受欢迎的驯鹿。它的红鼻子也被大家喜欢。你喜欢鲁道夫吗？

Today I want to tell you a story about Christmas. Do you know Santa Claus? Santa Claus has 12 reindeers. Among them, the most famous is the red-nosed reindeer. His name was Rudolph.
